Jean A. Baker's Obituary
Jean Baker, age 71, passed away Friday, January 25th, at Spectrum Health. Jean was born September 2, 1936 in Muskegon to Henry and Martha Karel. She graduated from Muskegon High School in 1954 and then Muskegon Community College with a teaching degree. After teaching several years she became employed by Johnson Products and then retired from Sealed Power in 1995. She is survived by 2 sons, Richard (Stephanie) Karel, and Marlin (Ranae) Baker, and 1 daughter, Rochelle (Barry) Hartsema; 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Ashley and Jordan Karel, Arianna, Marlin, and Maranda Baker, Caria and Paisley Hartsema. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Henry (Dayle) Karel, Cornelius Karel, 1 sister, Marty (Rich) Addison and many close friends and extended family including Mary Morton, Todd and Mary Priest and their families. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Marvin (Barbara) Karel and sister-in-law Claudia Karel. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at
