Jeanette (Jolman) Traulsen Wells' Obituary
Mrs. Jeanette (Jolman) Traulsen Wells, age 94, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at a local nursing home. She was born December 19, 1916 in Muskegon to John and Alice (Mulder) Jolman and lived in the area her entire life. Jeanette went to work for Teledyne Continental Motors during WWII as a “Rosie the Riveter” and enjoyed a 30-year career as an inspector retiring in 1974. On January 5, 1951, she married Lewis Traulsen in Muskegon and he preceded her in death in 1979. She later married Robert Wells on November 7, 1987 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She attended Oak Crest Church of God and was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Hesperia. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and polka dancing. She loved spending time with her family and especially looked forward to her visits from the grandchildren and the great-grandchildren. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Richard (Vicki) Rossman of Holton, Annette (William) Henion of Shelby, Joyce (Fred) Radel of Muskegon, Darlene (Jerry) Kelsch of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dale Rossman in 2000, and her grandson, Michael Smith in 2011. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Oak Crest Church of God (1540 Leonard St.) with Bishop Robert D. Rogers officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey Street, (231) 798-1100. Visitation will also be held 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Lake Woods Living Center Activity Fund.
