Jeanette Darcy- Fekken's Obituary
Jeanette Darcy-Fekken age 87, passed away on April 27, 2014. Jeanette was born on June 14, 1926 to Fredrick and Lena Ewald. In 1946 she married Robert Darcy and together they were blessed with 7 children. Jeanette worked full time from home taking care of her 7 children. Sadly in 1990 she lost her first husband. She married Ben Fekken in 2005 and they enjoyed 9 years of marriage together. She loved her family as well as bird watching, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of Sullivan Community Church. Jeanette was a loving, kind, strong-willed woman with a wonderful sense of humor who will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include her husband, Ben; children, Linda (Ron) Sellers, Jim ( Brent) Darcy, Barb (Randy) Helsen, Bob (Martha) Darcy, Tim (Lisa) Darcy, Jerry (Lori) Darcy, and Laura (Gordon) Christian; step-children, Alan and Brock (Beverly) Fekken, and Sharon (Scott) Nienhuis; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert; brother, Fred; and sister, Edith Ewald. A VISITATION will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6pm-8pm at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100
and 1 hour prior to the start of the service. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Sullivan Community Church on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Romanosky officiating. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Sullivan Community Church.
