JEANETTE A. “AUNT JEAN”

Mrs. Jeanette A. “Aunt Jean” Meyers, age 95, passed away Wednesday evening, October 1, 2003. She was born February 17, 1908 in Muskegon to Alex and Flora (Kniphuizen) Diephouse and had been a life resident. Mrs. Meyers had worked at the Norge for over 30 years. She then worked for Moore and Bruggink as a secretary before her retirement in 1987. Mrs. Meyers was a life member of Fifth Reformed Church, belonged to the choir and Ladies Guild, and also had been the Sunday School Superintendent of the Primary and Beginners Department for 15 years. On August 20, 1936, she married Henry A. Meyers in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1974. SURVIVORS include her brother-in-law, John Dewind; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Celia Dewind; 3 brothers, Sidney, Clarence, and Frederick Diephouse. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Fifth Reformed Church with Rev. Norman Swier and Rev. Jim Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM today at
