Jean M. Larsen's Obituary
Mrs. Jean M. Larsen, age 75, was called home to her Lord on Monday, November 9, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born September 12, 1934 in Appleton, WI to Frank and Armelle (Deininger) Schwanke and resided for the last 65 years in the area. Mrs. Larsen worked at CWC for 12 years, before retiring in 1990. She previously worked at Brunswick. Mrs. Larsen was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, the Vikings Lodge, and volunteered at Hackley Hospital for a number of years. She deeply loved and cared for her family, and was especially close to her niece and nephew, Mary (Ken) Bratherton and Paul (Mary) Larsen who looked after her and lovingly cared for Jean for many years. Mrs. Larsen also enjoyed gardening, crafts and playing bridge. Mrs. Larsen married Thomas L. Larsen in Muskegon on July 17, 1953, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2006. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Thomas A. (Paula) Larsen of Los Angeles, CA, Michael L. (Mary Kay) Larsen of Owosso, MI, Steven C. Larsen of Scottsdale, AZ and Lisa Marie Larsen of Carefree, AZ; 8 grandchildren, Kati (Arnie), Eric (Amy), Chad (Amy), Melanie, Jamie, Christopher, Scott, and Falacia; 5 great grandchildren, Griffen, Gabrielle, Ashlyn, Brooklyn and Jaden. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Armelle. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11AM Friday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Dung Anton Tran presiding. VISITATION with the Larsen family will be 6-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel,Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Macular Degeneration or American Diabetes Association will be appreciated.
