Mrs. Jean Johnston, age 90, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born in Brimley, MI on February 14, 1918 and moved to Muskegon from Sault Ste. Marie in 2000 for health reasons. SURVIVORS include daughter, Marjorie (Richard) Heer of Norton Shores, son, George (Linda) Johnston of Madison Heights, MI, and J.M. “Mickey” (Peg) Molinaro of Oakdale, CA; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert (Lillian) Noble of Sault Ste. Marie, John Noble of Traverse City, MI; sister, Jessie Brown of Alma, MI; sister-in-law, Dorothy Noble; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Cliff” Johnston in 1988; son, Brian; 3 brothers, Bill Noble, Joe Scribner and Sidney Scribner; sister, Marjorie Eynon, and her parents John and Irene Noble of Brimley, MI. Mrs. Johnston was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 9032 in Brimley, MI. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held in late June in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Burial will take place in Donaldson Cemetery. Arrangements by The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W.
