Jeanne Anne Funnell's Obituary
Mrs. Jeanne Anne Funnell, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 in Spring Lake, Michigan. She was born in Muskegon on November 5, 1936 to Marvin and Bernice (Ludlam) Reed and was a lifelong resident of the area. Jeanne married Charles F. Funnell on December 5, 1970 and they enjoyed 20 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1991. She was employed by GTE of Michigan and Anderson Enterprises prior to her retirement. Jeanne was a member of Lake Harbor United Methodist Church and TOPS #MI820. She enjoyed traveling, embroidery, relationships with her friends, and helping others when she was able. Jeanne spent many hours coloring beautiful pictures, and she was especially known for her wonderfully unique sense of humor. Most importantly, Jeanne loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Steven (Deborah) Vickers, Sherri (Joe Myerchalk) Knoll, and Lori (Matthew) Engemann; four grandchildren, Brandi (Jamie Leyko) Cowell, Jim (Rose) Buth, Alecia (Kyle) Geist, and Cody Vickers; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Charles, Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Bernice Reed; son-in-law, Terry Knoll; grandson, Matthew Fisher; sister, Janette Posthumus; and brother-in-law, Ronald Posthumus. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2026 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with VISITATION one hour prior to her service.
