Jeanne L. Hasenbank's Obituary
Jeanne L. Hasenbank, age 75, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at home. She was born on December 25, 1946 to Phillip and Lorraine (Mazurke) Hopka in Muskegon, MI. She was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central high school class of 1965. In her earlier years, she worked as an Avon Representative and then made her way to Continental Motors, where she specialized in data entry. On August 21, 1971, she married the love of her life, Bruce Hasenbank. Together they cherished 46 years full of love, laughter and endless adventures. Once Bruce retired from the Navy, Muskegon became home for the two once again. Jeanne was a member of the Vikings for over 50 years and there she created friendships that would last a lifetime. Her Vikings family held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. Above all things, she loved spending time with her family reminiscing about the good ole’ days. Her humor and tender-loving spirit will genuinely be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Diane Shaw; brother-in-law, Raymond Shaw; nephew, Adam Shaw; niece, Emily (Chris) Halloran; great-nieces and nephews, Shaw, Vann, Wren and Ford Halloran; and special cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce Hasenbank; and godmother, Rita “Auntie” Sander. A Celebration of Jeanne’s Life will be held at the Vikings Lodge at a later date. Memorial Contributions can be directed to the Vikings Scholarship Fund or Alagille Syndrome Alliance. Arrangements entrusted to The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Cremation & Funeral Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
