Jeanne M. Norris' Obituary
Mrs. Jeanne M. Norris, age 86, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in Grand Haven. She was born in Chicago on May 21, 1930 to George and Gertrude (Zimmerman) Jacobus and lived in the Muskegon area the last 20 years. She received her BS degree from The College of Health and Human Services, Purdue University, in 1953. She taught for two years in the Indiana public school system. Jeanne married Lowell Norris in Griffith, Indiana in 1954. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Downers Grove Illinois. She also was a member of The Muskegon Friends of Art. Jeanne had an avid love of Opera and Classical music. She sang in various choirs and played the piano. Jeanne enjoyed attending and learning at 20 different Elder Hostels across the country. SURVIVORS include her loving Husband, Lowell of 63 years; her 2 sons, Kevin (Kristi) Norris and Timothy (Patti) Norris and her grandson Ari Opel Norris. She was preceded in death by her sister, Darlene Arnold. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at a later date.
