Jeannette Catherine Streeting's Obituary
Jeannette Catherine Streeting, age 82, passed away Monday afternoon at the Heartland Health Care Center in Whitehall following a long illness. She was born in Birmingham, AL on February 11, 1929 to Frank D. and Regina (Wallace) Scurlock. Jeannette came to Muskegon as a young woman where she attended the Mercy Central School of Nursing. Jeannette became a registered nurse and was employed as an R.N. at Hackley Hospital. She later attended Aquinas College where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychiatric nursing. In earlier years, Jeannette was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed gardening flowers & vegetables, knitting, crocheting, antiquing, arts and crafts, and was a former member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mrs. Streeting is survived by: her four children, Pamela Warford of Norton Shores, David (Jean) Streeting of N. Muskegon, Linda (Dr. Robert) Penny of N. Muskegon and Mark Streeting of Twin Lake; ten grandchildren, Tanya, Trisha, Ty, Eli, Dannille, Regina, Morgan, R.J., Jason and Stacey; and12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Nancy; brother, Dennis; and grandson, Cohen.
