Jeffrey S. Bromley's Obituary
Mr. Jeffrey S. Bromley, age 46, loving husband, loving father who fought a courageous battle with cancer passed away on August 18, 2013. He was born on November 8, 1966 to Clifford W. Bromley and Sandra L. Bromley in Mt. Clemens, MI. Jeff travelled extensively as a member of Seal Team 8, responsible for the Mediterranean area. As service to his country he fought in two conflicts, the U.S. American Embassy Rescue in Mogadishu, Somalia and Operation Desert Storm. He received medal accommodations including the Navy Commendation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal and Southwest Asia Service Medal. He was a member of the America Legion in Grand Haven and the Autism Society of West Shore. He graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina. Jeff worked as an IT Engineer at Grand Valley State University. Prior to that he had worked ten years at Haworth. Over the past ten years, Jeff starred in short movies with close friends and his son, Brendan. The movies were produced and directed by Tom Berdinski. He enjoyed riding his Harley, scuba diving and boating. Jeff became a dive master in 2001 and was a passionate advocate and supporter for Autism. On May 31, 1997 he married Nannette Wambaugh. She survives him along with two children, Brendan and Drew; father Clifford, mother Sandra, brother, Craig (Karla) Bromley, sister, Jeanne Basch-Witham; Grandma Gloria Lang, in laws Garth (Frances ) Wambaugh, Nadine (Doug) Thomas, Jeneene (Brad) Evans and Jim (Tara) Wambaugh; with an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11:00AM Friday, August 23, 2013 at The Lee Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday. MEMORIALS to the Autism Society of West Shore or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
