Jeffrey D. Galbreath's Obituary
Jeffrey D. Galbreath, age 46, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 after a brief, but courageous fight with cancer. He was born April 4, 1970 in Muskegon to Jerry and Julie (Duiser) Galbreath. Jeff was a 1988 graduate of Mona Shores High School. Following high school, Jeff attended Muskegon Community College. He played on the golf team there and was awarded the National Junior College All American Honorable Mention. He then attended Spring Arbor University where he received his Degree in Education with minors in business and computers. He also played on their golf team and was named to the Christian College All American 1st Team. He was employed by Stefanini Global as an IT technician, and prior to that had worked for Kent Records Management. Jeff’s passion was golfing. He was a member of Chase Hammond Golf Course where he played on two separate golf leagues. He was an active member of Unity Reformed Church where he served as a Deacon, ran the sound board, and sang in the choir. He loved his church and would always lend a helping hand when needed. Jeff had a great sense of humor and was a MSU fan, but only by default. SURVIVORS include his parents, Jerry and Julie Galbreath of Norton Shores; sister, Jennifer Galbreath of Roosevelt Park; aunts and uncles: Bruce (Barb) Duiser, Patti (Mark) Peterson, Cindy (Dan) Knight, Sr., Shirley Galbreath; many cousins; and his faithful four-legged friend, Kirbee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with Rev. Jim Zinger officiating. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
