Jeffrey William Lloyd's Obituary
Mr. Jeffrey Lloyd, age 65, of Coopersville, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 21, 1955 in Bay City to David and Merlyn (LaChapelle) Lloyd. On September 6, 1991 he married Christine Rosema in Spring Lake.
Jeff grew up in Cheboygan, MI and graduated from Cheboygan High School. He then joined the Merchant Marines and sailed on the Munson for two years. He attended Ferris State University for Radiography and Nuclear Medicine, later returning for a masters degree in education. Jeff worked at Butterworth Hospital and Spectrum Health for over 40 years as a radiographer and then the Radiology Clinical Coordinator. He also taught radiography classes at Grand Rapids Community College.
Jeff was an avid University of Michigan, Detroit Lions and Tigers fan and loved watching sports with his friends. He enjoyed hiking in Ludington and on Isle Royale with his camera by his side. Most of all, he loved his family and cherished times helping with horses and watching his daughters compete. He was an animal lover with many cats, dogs, and horses. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and students.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Christine; three daughters: Aubrey, Brenna, and Kierra Lloyd; brother, Mark Lloyd; sister, Dana Lloyd; in-laws, Jack and Linda Rosema; sister and brother in-law, Shelly and Brad Oostindie and their children, Megan and Rachel. He was preceded in death by his son, Keaton; parents, David and Merlyn.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 at All Shores Wesleyan Church (15550 Cleveland St, Spring Lake, MI 49456). Visitation will take place 5-8 PM Thursday, October 22, 2020 at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St. Spring Lake, MI 49456. COVID 19 restrictions and masks will be required for the service and visitation. Memorial contributions in memory of Jeffrey may be given to the Amyloidosis Foundation (7151 N.
