Jeffrey W. "Jeff" Shippell's Obituary
On Monday, May 4, 2026, we are sad to say that Jeffrey W. “Jeff” Shippell, age 70, passed away at the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. Jeff was a beautiful soul, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and he will be sorely missed by his loving family. He was born March 24, 1956 in Muskegon, MI to Ray and Peggy (Heminger) Shippell and lived his entire life in the area. Jeff graduated from Orchard View High School and received his associate’s degree in accounting from Muskegon Community College. On January 3, 2003, he married Rochelle Ann Daniels in Muskegon. He was employed for 28 years at Iroquois Hoods and retired as Plant Manager. Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Rochelle “Shelly” Shippell; 4 sons, Scott (Alissa Olsen) Shippell, Chase (Jen) Barbrick, Nolan Barbrick, Adam (Jessica) Barbrick; 3 grandchildren, Rowan Barbrick, Dakota Baur, Saddie Shippell; 1 great grandson, Malichi; and 4 sisters, Linda (Jim) McKenney, Kristine (Scott) Ulmer, Mary Beth Squire, and Ellie (Elisa Love) Daniels. There will be a private family gathering for Jeff on Mother’s Day.
