Jeffrey "Bear" G. Roberson's Obituary
Jeffrey “Bear” G. Roberson, age 52, of Grand Haven passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 3, 2011, at his home. He was born October 24, 1958, in Midland, MI, to Keith and Kathleen “Kay” (Neville) Roberson.
He married the former Lori Chaffee on April 8, 1986, in Midland, and she survives him along with two daughters, Breanne Chaffee and Brittnie (Chris) Roberson, both of Grand Haven; three grandchildren: Madigan Chaffee, Sophie Chaffee, and Lowynn Roberson; two sisters, Kathy (Ron) Card of Midland and Diane Bathea of Saginaw; and three brothers: Mike (Sharon) Roberson of Woodlands, TX, Ron (Gayle) Roberson of Elizabeth, CO, and David (Sue) Roberson of Midland. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Roberson; his mother-in-law, June Svoboda; and his father-in-law, Art Chaffee.
Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Midland High School and was employed as a woodcrafter and job supervisor for David C. Bos Homes. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Above all, he loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 7, 2011, in the Family Center at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Memorial contributions to the family are appreciated.
