Jennifer Louise Humphreys' Obituary
Mrs. Jennifer Louise Humphreys, age 60, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, December 6, 2025 following a two-year battle with cancer. Jennifer was born in Muskegon, Michigan on October 19, 1965 to Nile and Betty (Obert) Hanes. Jennifer fell in love with Michael Humphreys, and together they built a beautiful life. She found her greatest joy in the warmth and comfort of home. Whether she was raising her daughters, tending her gardens, watching her cherished grandchildren, or playing with her beloved dogs, Violet and Odie, Jennifer was happiest when surrounded by the people and things she loved most. Jennifer’s love for Jesus was central to her life. Together with Mike and their family, they created a home church where they could worship and grow in faith side by side. She also enjoyed camping, crocheting, sewing, and crafting; hobbies that reflected her creativity and gentle spirit. For many years, Jennifer worked alongside her husband in their family business, Mike’s Irrigation and Landscaping, finding fulfillment in the work they shared and the life they built together. Jennifer is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mike; five daughters, Jennelle (Michael) Natte, Lindsey (Zach) Ellison, Mary Humphreys, Emily (Noah) Cross, and Clara Humphreys; six grandchildren, Michael, Kenneth, Sawyer, Sansa, Abel, and Gideon; sisters, Amy Raley and Molly (Mike) Clark; and brother, Nathan Hanes. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Valerie Hanes; and niece, Heather Timmerman. Jennifer attended her celebration of life, along with dear friends and family, a few months ago just prior to her 60th birthday in October, and her wishes were to not have an additional celebration.
