Jerome "Jerry" P. Gajeski's Obituary
Jerome “Jerry” P. Gajeski, age 81, passed away on July 17, 2020. He was born on July 16, 1939 to Peter and Cyril (Wichtoski) Gajeski in Muskegon. Jerry served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for 40 years as a supervisor for Campbell Wyant Cannon until his retirement in 1989. On September 29, 1962 he married the former, Barbara Lodes, and they spent 57 years together. Jerry was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors: hunting, motorcycling, snowmobiling, and camping with family and friends were all some of his best memories. His family was such an important part of his life and he cherished every moment with them and always made it to their activities and sporting events. He will be missed by his loving wife, Barbara Gajeski; daughters, Kelly (Brent) Freeland, Colleen Rice; grandchildren, Krystle (John), Kevin (Tracy), David (Tara), Shane (Krista), Ethan (Lisa), Zack (Rachael), Mackenzie (Kolin); 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas (Roselyn) Gajeski; Paul (Diane) Gajeski, Mike (Rick) Gajeski; sister, Cathy Partlow; special friend Kammy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved daughter, Nancy; and brother-in-law, Tom Partlow. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Jerry will take place on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444.
