Jerry Davison's Obituary
Jerry Davison, age 70, of Grand Haven passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at his home. He was born February 5, 1940, in Grand Haven to Russell and Elizabeth (Hellman) Davison. Jerry married the former Diann Lubben on May 14, 1966 in Nunica.
Jerry served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a purchasing manager at Grand Haven Plastics, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he served as an elder and sang in the choir, and was also a member of the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post #28. Jerry was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling to Port Richey, Florida, and loved being with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diann; 2 sons, Troy (Shelly Wember) Davison of Ravenna, and Ty (Krista) Davison of Grand Haven; 6 grandchildren: Nick, Ashlee, Ty, Treyton Davison, and Ciara and Breanna Arnold; 2 sisters, Janet (Jack) Parker of Muskegon, and Emmalou Wetterman of Allendale; a sister-in-law, Marcia Meyers of Coopersville; and special friend Kelly Davison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Russell Davison.
A Service for Jerry will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Dieter Haupt officiating. Friends may meet the family following the service at the church. Interment will be in Ottawa Center Cemetery.
