Jerry L. Gleason's Obituary
Jerry L. Gleason, 84, went home to be with Jesus on May 30, 2021. He was born on April 25, 1937 in Muskegon, MI to Morris and Charlotte Gleason, who predeceased him. On July 29, 1967, he married Therese M. (Terri) Gleason (nee Loss). He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving as an Aviation Electronics Technician. After serving his country, he worked in Muskegon as a machinist for 40 years. He retired from Pinnacle Metal Products in 1999. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with friends and family. He had a quiet spirit, a quick wit and a kind heart. He was particularly adept at repairing anything mechanical and was always ready to help whomever he could. He was a loving, devoted husband, a caring and supportive dad, uncle, brother and a good friend. All of these qualities were part of the beautiful legacy of faith and love which he passed on to his sons and grandsons. His passing leaves a huge void in our lives, but we are grateful to God that his suffering is over and that he is now present with the Lord! Jerry is survived by his wife Terri, his sons, Mark (Mary) Gleason and David (Shawn) Gleason, two grandsons, Jacob Gleason and Adam (Emilie) Gleason, one sibling, Karen Bont and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 21st at First Baptist Church, 1070 Quarterline Rd., Muskegon. There will be visitation one hour before the service and a lunch immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a contribution to First Baptist Church or Hospice of Michigan.
