Jerry L. Goranson's Obituary
Jerry Lee Goranson, age 69, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 20, 2015. He was born July 26, 1945 in Muskegon to Paul and Catherine (Schrebe) Goranson and had been a life resident of the area. Jerry was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran and a mason by trade. He was sacrificially generous and supported many charities over the years. He was a friend to everyone he met and enjoyed working in his yard and puttering around the house. Jerry especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, his pets, and extended family members. SURVIVORS include 2 children: Laura (John) Hamilton of Gobles, MI, Steve Keidel of The Villages, Florida; 3 grandchildren: Connor, Jera, and Jackson Keidel; twin brother, Larry (Lori) Goranson of Wasilla, AK; brother, David Goranson of Muskegon; 3 sisters: Evelyn Smith of Muskegon, Lois Gibbs of Fruitport, Kay (Larry) Alsgaard of Grand Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul “Sonny” Goranson, Jr. According to his wishes, a private family service will be held.
