I remember how Bro: Harris and I use to tease each other about the winner of the Bayou Classic each year when I return home from Grambling State. When I told him I was going to Grambling State, he said it is not the best school in Louisiana but you work hard while you are attending Grambling. Camileo Bagsby

Bro. Harris, we have seen your example and appreciate the life you have lived before the students and the community. I can hear your voice reminding us that that we always want to be a "good" Bro. or Sis. Thank you for your guidance and the lessons you taught which surpassed the English language. You will truly be missed.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family. I will truly miss the long conversations we have had over the years. He was a true friend and will truly be missed.
