Jerry Lee Kelsch's Obituary
Jerry L. Kelsch, age 66, went to be with the Lord Jesus in the presence of his family Friday morning, October 7, 2016. He was born January 27, 1950 in Muskegon to Marvin and Beatrice (Lannin) Kelsch. Jerry was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the 101st Airborne Division. On November 22, 1969 he married Darlene Traulsen in Muskegon. Jerry worked for Air Master Systems in Norton Shores for 20 years before retiring in 2012 and had previously worked for Bastian-Blessing Company in Grand Haven for 18 years. He was a member of Oak Crest Church of God, enjoyed coin collecting with his son and fishing, but most of all, he was a family man, always wanting to spend time with his family. SURVIVORS include his wife, Darlene; 2 children: Melissa (Charles) Bengtson, Christopher Kelsch both of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren: Haley, Hunter, Luke, Madison, and Marissa; 2 brothers: Marvin (Marie) Kelsch of Washington, Ivan (Carrie) Kelsch of Muskegon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters. SERVICES for Jerry will be held 11:00 Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Oak Crest Church of God with Pastor Rick Rogers officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 5-7 PM Monday, October 10, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Oak Crest Church of God - Youth Camp will be appreciated.
