Jerry Alan Peterman's Obituary
Jerry Alan Peterman, age 73, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon on September 5, 1952 to Charles and Helen (Sterenberg) Peterman. Jerry graduated from Muskegon High School in 1970. He was the owner of Classy Chassy of North Muskegon for over 35 years and continued working until his recent illness. He was a former member of First Baptist Church and had been attending Christ Church in recent years. Jerry enjoyed golfing, boating, and spending time in the sun. He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time at his home in Bonita Springs, Florida. More than anything, he valued time with his two daughters. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Courtney Peterman of North Carolina and Elizabeth “Liz” (TJ) Leenhouts of Muskegon; two sisters, Jeanie (Bob) Vickers and Charlotte (Dan) McShannock; and sister-in-law, Melinda Peterman. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Peterman. A CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 9, 2025 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. VISITATION with his family will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at The Lee Chapel and one hour prior to his service on Thursday. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
