Mr. Jesse Carlisle's Obituary
Mr. Jesse J. Carlisle, 85, of Centralia-Hartfield Road, Dewittville, NY, formerly of Muskegon, MI, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the home of his daughter. He was born July 18, 1928 in Muskegon, the son of the late Jesse J. and Gertrude Schuitema Carlisle Sr. Jesse had been head of the maintenance department at Orchard View High School in Muskegon. He was a member of the Evanston Avenue Baptist Church in Muskegon, and attended Fellowship at the Cross in Falconer, NY. Jesse enjoyed reading, being a handyman and doing woodworking. He loved his family and loved being a grandfather; he also loved his church and being involved with his churches. Survivors include his four children, Richard (Cheryl) Carlisle of Bailey, MI, Roger (Barb) Carlisle of Muskegon, MI, Daniel (Jane) Carlisle of Roland, Iowa, and Ruth (Andrew) Frudd of Dewittville, NY; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin Carlisle of Marion, IN and Bernie Carlisle of Sun City, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Putney Carlisle, whom he married March 15, 1967 in Muskegon and who died July 23, 2007; daughter, Marjorie Carlisle; one sister and 7 brothers. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 4pm on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church, 1188 Evanston Ave. with Andy Frudd officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Fellowship at the Cross, 360 E. Elmwood St., Falconer, NY 14733.
