Jessyca Jean (Gillan) Diamond's Obituary
Jessyca Jean (Gillan) Diamond, adored wife, mother, daughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Jessyca was born in Shelby, Michigan on January 16, 1985 to Roger and Linda (Smith) Gillan. She spent much of her childhood in Montague before moving with her parents to Tennessee. She returned to Michigan and graduated from Oakridge High School in 2003. After high school she attended Baker College and settled on a career working with children. She was most recently employed by her alma mater, Oakridge Public Schools. On October 9, 2010, Jessyca married her husband, Bradley Diamond. Together they traveled and lived in North Carolina and Hawaii during his service in the United States Marine Corps. Jessyca will be remembered for her contagious laugh, love of shopping and her unbelievable memory, remembering the birth dates and anniversaries of everyone she met. Jessyca had a caring heart, the gift of gab, an incredible attitude and a true zest for life. She loved seafood and shopping, camping with her family and her dogs-Boss, Luna and Domer. Jessyca was a passionate Scentsy collector, owning an impressive conglomeration of the best scents available. She was a joy to be around. Jessyca was the #1 fan of her boys, Michael (17) and Braxen (11). She loved cheering them on in the classroom, the soccer and football fields, and in the gymnastics arena.
Jessyca was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Gillan (Smith); grandmother, Bonnie Smith; and grandparents, Dr. B Wayne and Gloria Mae Gillan. Left to cherish her memory includes her husband, Bradley; sons, Michael and Braxen; father, Roger Gillan; grandfather, Duane Smith; aunts, Kristi (Troy) Rouse, Pam Gillan; cousins, Kassandra Brown, Kate (Andrew) Rosema and Tori Rouse; a host of in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and countless friends. SERVICES for Jessyca will be 3:00pm, Sunday, November 27, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. The family will welcome friends from 1:30-3:00pm, prior to the service. A luncheon will be held following the service at the Knights of Columbus, 2915 Fairfield, Muskegon.
