Jesus C. Flores' Obituary
Mr. Jesus C. “Sus”“Flo” Flores, age 36, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, August 28, 2011, at his home. He was born July 21, 1975 in Muskegon and has been a life resident of the area. Jesus was a Correction Officer for the State of Michigan, working at Brooks Correctional Facility. He was outgoing, funny and a wonderful friend to many; and will be remembered for loving to ride his Harley Davidson, enjoying the opportunity to be with family and friends and his willingness to give with no expectation of getting anything in return. He is survived by 4 children, Dominic, Eli and Brianna Flores and Jesus Arizola; 4 brothers, Herman (Jillian) Mendiola, Roberto (fiancée Amanda) Mendiola, Frankie Hilliard and Gabriel Gonzalez and by 1 sister, Selina (Jim) Cooper; and by his father, Alfred Gonzalez He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Irma (Flores) and Roberto Mendiola. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10 AM Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Matthew J. Barnum presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, (231-726-5210) where The Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM.
