Jim Pitcher's Obituary
Mr. Jim Pitcher, age 76, of Norton Shores passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. He was born April 12, 1947, in Muskegon to Lyle and Ruth (Farmer) Pitcher and he was a graduate of Mona Shores High School.
Jim was a veteran of the US Air Force which led him to a love of airplanes. He had a passion for weather and taking photos of nature. He will be surely missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lori (Joseph) Isaacs of Charleston SC, and Wendy Markgraf of Spring Lake; seven grandchildren: Claire, Grace, Tessa, Quinton, Jaicee, Joselyn, and Nolan; siblings: Kathleen (Jim) Poort. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Carl.
A visitation will be held 4-7 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at The Spring Lake Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 213 E. Savidge St, Spring Lake, MI 49456. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be given to American Legion Post 179 or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s disease research.
