Joan M. Ardis' Obituary
Joan Marie Ardis, age 77, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 after an unexpected battle with cancer. She was born on April 8, 1943 to Charles and Margaret Raap in Muskegon. Joan spent several years working for Peggy White as a cosmetologist. She enjoyed spending time at the casinos, playing bingo and watching movies. Joan always knew how to get a great deal and liked going to garage sales and second-hand shops. She liked decorating her house and loved listening and dancing to music. Joan will be missed by her daughters, Kimberly (Peter) Lapins and Lisa (Brian) LaCross; grandchildren, Richard (Val) Olsen, Ryan (fiancée Kathleen) Olsen and Aaron Olsen, Brandon (fiancée Jamie) Becklin, Rachel (Tom) Davis and Kristy (Marina) Becklin, and Kayleigh (Chad) Johnson, Laura Lein and Paige (Austin) Buckingham; 17 great-grandchildren with four on the way; and brother, Russell (Margaret) Raap and children, Jeff Raap and Russell Jr Raap. Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Ardis-Olsen; lifelong love/friend, Robert Ardis; parents, Charles (“Ginny”) Raap and Margaret Anderson; and brother, Charles Raap Jr. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place.
