Joni enjoyed a full day on the pontoon boat soaking up the sun with Cliff as her captain, attending the senior class at The Gym and singing, performing and competing with her A Capella Bellas. Joni's three girls and son-in-laws surprised her and Cliff with a trip to Mackinac Island for her 80th birthday, as being with her girls and family was her most favorite time. She also enjoyed getting together for all holidays, game nights and luncheons with her Golden Girls. She is survived by her husband: Cliff Hassell; children: Terese (Martin) Wunsch, Rhonda (Jim) Yore, Wendy (Greg) Elwell; step-children: Cheryl Hassell and Jeffrey Hassell; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; many special in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents: Elwin and Lois Bennett; brothers: Bob and Lynn; sisters: Maxine, Renée, Sondra, Diane; and her daily Facetime best friend, Ginny Elwell.
