Mrs. Joan Marie Kissling's Obituary
Mrs. Joan Marie Kissling, age 74, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013. She was born in Muskegon on February 5, 1939 to Hendrick and Johanna (Pike) Yonker and was a life resident of the area. Mrs. Kissling was a life-long member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed writing, playing BINGO, and her “job” as greeter at Brookhaven. On October 3, 1958, Joan married Earl J. Kissling in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2007. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Sandra (Illia) Morse and Sally (John) Howell; 1 granddaughter, Tracey Howell; and 2 sisters, Ruth (Mike) Berry and Cheryl (Gary) Gurden. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Dotty Lee Kissling; and 1 brother, Hendrick Yonker. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Friday at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
