Joan Ann Lutz's Obituary
Joan Ann Lutz, age 83, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2022 at her home in Norton Shores. She was born December 19, 1938 in Millerville, MN to Harvey and Adeline (Wilken) Brozek and she moved to the Muskegon area in 1943. Joan was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School Class of 1957. On January 2, 1960, she married Robert “Buck” L. Lutz in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2006. Joan enjoyed a long career of 38 years as an insurance administrator for several area agents and retired from Lighthouse Insurance Agency in 2008. Her first priority was always her family. She enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and sweeping her patio and driveway. She enjoyed trips to the Muskegon Farmer’s Market, watching golf, and especially her time spent with the family at Ford Lake. The family would like to thank the hospice workers and friends of the family that helped and cared for Joan during her illness. Survivors include 2 sons, Eric (LoAnn) Lutz, Paul (Tammy) Lutz; daughter, Stephanie Burch; grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna, and Sarah Lutz, Tyler Burch, Morgan, Taylor and Brooke Lutz; siblings, Richard (Pam) Brozek, Janet (David) McNab, Carol (Mike) Horan, Tom (Nancy) Brozek; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Buck, and her son-in-law, Asa Burch, Jr. Per her wishes, a private family service was held.
