Joan Carol Plumhoff's Obituary
Joan Carol Plumhoff, age 86, was called home, to be with the Lord early Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was born August 24, 1938 in Muskegon, MI to John and Julia (Schutter) Visscher and was a lifelong resident of the area. Joan worked 15 years as a secretary for SD Warren Papermill and retired in 1990. She also enjoyed working as a salesclerk for Elder-Beerman Department Store. On June 21, 1986, she married Leonard William Plumhoff in Muskegon. Joan and Leonard wintered in Flamingo Bay near St. James City, FL where they attended First Baptist Church of St. James City. Joan had a very strong faith in Jesus Christ and will be greatly missed by those who love her. Survivors include her loving husband, Leonard W. Plumhoff; 4 children, Shelly Parks, Jeff Parks, Susan (Daniel) Grimard, Scott (Tammy) Plumhoff; 5 grandchildren, Sara Kiesgen, John (Jessica) Kiesgen, Ryan Plumhoff, Skylar Pagniello, Courtney (Brandon) Cooley; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ron Visscher, David (Marti) Visscher; 1 sister, Marilyn TenBrink; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Rev. Dr. William J. Rudd officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions in lieu of flowers may be directed to First Baptist Church of St. James City, FL.
