I remember Joanie from elementary school in Spring Lake, MI. She was my best friend until we had to move because of my Dad's occupation (Michigan State Police). She contacted me years later after she married but could never get in contact with her. I am so sorry she is gone.
Joan was always cheerful and smiling, even during her brave struggle. We have many wonderful memories over the years. Our love and prayers are with all of the family.
