Joan L. Mitchell's Obituary
Mrs. Joan L. Mitchell, age 76, passed away at home, Monday evening following a long illness. Joan was born in Muskegon on October 28, 1932 to Henry and Eileen (McArthur) Nummerdor and was a graduate of Muskegon Hts. High School, class of 1950. She married James Mitchell in Muskegon in 1952 and he preceded her in death on July 2, 1985. Joan co-owned with Jim, Mitchell Real Estate until retiring in 1986 and was a former member of: the Muskegon Hts. Eagles; Pulaski Lodge; the Moose and Tatra Hall. She is survived by: three sons, James (Cindy) Mitchell, Jr. of Muskegon Hts., Jon (Ronda) Mitchell of Muskegon and Jody (Laura) Mitchell of Muskegon; two daughters, Jane (Patrick) Palazzolo of Fruitport and Jill (Donald) Szalonek of N. Muskegon; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers. The funeral service will be held at:
