Joan Lee Fraley's Obituary
Mrs. Joan Lee Fraley, age 67, passed away Thursday evening, August 7, 2008 at a local hospital following a long illness. Joan was born in Muskegon on March 7, 1941 to John and Marian (Morsaw) Chingman and was a life long resident of Muskegon. Her husband Ezekiel Fraley lost his life in Viet Nam in 1971. Until her retirement, Joan was a bartender at the V.F.W. Post 3195 and was a member of the Kateri Circle. Her partner in life, Mr. George Beckley, Sr. preceded Joan in death on January 23, 1998. Survivors: Children, George R. (Jamie Ferris) Beckley, Jr. of Muskegon, Derek Fraley of Muskegon, Tammy (John) Rice of Fruitport and Tim (Michele) Beckley of Fruitport; brother, Alex J. (Marcie) Chingman of Muskegon; sister, Loretta (Tom) Williams of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ezekiel “Bud” Fraley on May 29, 1997.
