Joann M. Pavloff's Obituary
Joann M. Pavloff, age 73, passed away Saturday morning, April 18, 2015. She was born November 4, 1941 in Iron Mountain, MI to Edward and Margaret (Coleman) Charlier and had been a long-time resident of the Muskegon area. Joann was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, where she had been a former choir member. On June 26, 1965 she married Lyle J. Pavloff in Muskegon. She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years and their daughter, Tracy Helsel; 4 grandchildren: Jacob and Samantha Colquitt, Adam Bisson, Adrian Roy; sister, Gloria (Charles) Washburn all of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Charlier. Joann was a person who brought light into the lives of the people around her, and openly accepted and loved all of those who came into her life. Her goal was to spread happiness, whether it was with her husband, children, and grandchildren or a complete stranger. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy for many years. She laughed often and loved endlessly. Her house was always filled with homemade cake and cookies, love, and flowers. Just as Joann did many times, the Lord has picked her at last, one of the brightest flowers in His garden. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St., Muskegon, MI 49441, with the Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210, with the Rosary Prayed at 6:00 PM. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Love, Inc. (2735 E. Apple Ave., Suite A, Muskegon, MI 49442). Share memories with the family at their On-line Guest Book at www.sytsemafh.com
