Mrs. Joanna Doris Tripp's Obituary
Mrs. Joanna Doris Tripp, age 93, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Sanctuary of the Oaks where she received loving care. Mrs. Tripp was born January 30, 1922 to J. Arthur and Marian (Plumley) Sundquist in Muskegon and was a life resident of the area. She married Jack E. Tripp and he preceded her in death in 2008 after nearly 70 years of marriage. Joanna was a past member of the Lakeside Eagles and the Lakeside Vets Club. She enjoyed gardening, singing harmony with her husband Jack, and boating on Muskegon Lake. She is SURVIVED by her children, Carol (Thomas) Sundberg of Twin Lake and Ted Tripp of Guerneville, California; daughter-in-law, Barb Tripp of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Jack, she was preceded in death by her children, Jack and Doris Tripp; and grandson, Thomas Sundberg. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 2-4 PM at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231 759-8565. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
