JoAnne June Cyr's Obituary
JoAnne June Cyr, age 89, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, in Arizona. She was born on June 5, 1932, to Roscoe and Bernice (Garn) Miller in Muskegon. On January 3, 1953, she married the love of her life, William L. Cyr, Sr., and together they spent 59 years together until his passing in September of 2012. JoAnne loved to quilt and was a member of a quilting group called the “Undercover Girls.” She also enjoyed square dancing, painting, ceramics, reading, and playing cards. JoAnne was a faithful member of Samuel Lutheran Church. She is survived by her eight children, Deborah (Jerome) Price of Ashland, OR, Kim (Nancy) Cyr of Twin Lake, Kevin (Kathy) Cyr, Kris Cyr, Kelly (Claudia) Cyr, Kurt Cyr, all of Muskegon, Suzanne (Robert) Thomas of South Bend, IN, William (Christina) Cyr, Jr. of Buckeye, AZ; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Cyr; sisters, Teresa, Twyla, Theda, Marvis; brothers, Eugene, and James. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for JoAnne will take place on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 2:00 at The Lee Chapel of The Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444.
