Joanne "Jo Jo" M. Barr's Obituary
Joanne “Jo Jo” M. Barr, age 80, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at a care facility in Coopersville. She was born September 3, 1930 in Detroit, to Peter and Rhetha (Turner) Smallegan. On May 14, 1948 she married Thomas I. Barr in Grand Rapids, and they then moved to the Grand Haven area. Mr. Barr preceded her in death on April 1, 1984.
“Jo Jo” was formerly employed by the Driftwood Inn, American Legion, and the Grand Haven Elks as a waitress. She loved the out of doors, swimming and animals.
