Dear Big Chuck, Carrie, Christie, Cindy, Chuck and Cathy,
Joannie was such a great mom and "second mom" and I am so sad for your loss. She meant a lot to many people and I have very fond memories of chitchatting the night away at your house with her. Please take comfort in the many many great memories you have and the great family that she built.##imported-begin##Tamra Talmadge-Anderson##imported-end##

First, I must say my heart goes out to all of you. From the Whittaker Family, Mike,Gail,David and myself (Pat).
Your family was so blessed to have such a wonderful mother. I see that she had a large family from all the grand-children as well and I am sure that they loved their grandma deeply.
My fondest memories of Joan is just that, as a high school student she was "Joan" to all of us not Mrs. Langeland.
She opened up her home when we needed some place to go and hang out and just get some sound advice.
I can still see the picture of the "Fridge" from the Bears hanging on the door and occasionally in the background The Cosby Show on TV.
This home that Chuck and Joan created was a wonderful place. Their children shared their mother with all of us.
I was sorry to not be able to make the funeral today. I am sure she was represented well. She was probably looking down at all of the people to see just how many friends/family she had and that loved her so much.
I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for sharing your mother with all of us. She was one heck of a human being.
With love,
Pat##imported-begin##Patricia (Pat) Whittaker##imported-end##
