Joan Rose Everhart's Obituary
Joan Everhart, age 80, of Spring Lake, left her earthly home to join her Lord and Savior, and all of her friends and family who have passed before her, on Thursday, December 30, 2010. Joan was born November 8, 1930, in South Rockwood, MI, to Orva and Zelma (Chapman) Jackson, and married Eugene Everhart on June 21, 1952, in Grand Rapids.
Joan graduated from Michigan State in 1952, and later returned to MSU to earn her Masters degree in Education. Joan taught Home Economics and Social Studies at Muskegon Catholic Central.
Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Eugene; two sons whom she adored, David Everhart and his wife Kathryn of Laingsburg, and Donald Everhart and his wife Viki of Alma. Jo also cherished her four grandchildren: Michael Everhart (wife Megan) of Vista, California; Amy (Everhart) Beaderstadt (husband Blair) of Corvallis, Oregon; Jennifer Everhart of Portsmouth, Virginia; and Kevin Everhart of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
A private service for Joan will be held at a later date when the family she cherished so much is able to join together to celebrate her life.
