Mr. Job Hendrik Teuling's Obituary
Mr. Job Hendrik Teuling, age 91, passed away Thursday morning, October 24, 2019. Job was born November 4, 1927 in Muskegon to Cornelius and Sijke (Schouten) Teuling. On March 24, 1950, he married the former Alice Prow in Muskegon and she survives him. Job worked as a lab technician at S.D. Warren/Sappi for 44 years prior to his retirement in 1994. He was a member of the United Paper Workers Union, as well as a longtime attendee of Fellowship Reformed Church where he sang in the choir on special occasions. Job was also a member of the Cosmopolitan Male Singers for nearly 50 years; an artist who drew wonderful sketches, enjoying creating scrapbooks for his grandchildren, and reading, especially his Bible. Job loved spending time with his grandchildren, attending their track meets and other events throughout the years. An avid fan, he attended the Oakridge Football games since 1966. In addition to Alice, his wife of 69 years, Job is survived by his children, Cheryl (Daniel) Postema, Michael (Cindy) Teuling, and Douglas (Debra) Teuling; 7 grandchildren, Michael (Laura) Postema, Timothy (Kelli) Postema, Jennifer (Joseph) Thompson, Catherine (Joshua) Emery, Todd Teuling, Matthew Teuling, and Maaike Teuling; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Roger (Marva) Prow; and many nieces and nephews. Job was preceded in death by his daughter, Joni Teuling; brother, Dingeman Teuling; sisters, Anna Gijsbertha Spoelhof, Wilhelmina “Minnie” VanderStelt, and Maaike “Mae” Castle; and sister-in-law, Delores McLaughlin. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4200 Apple Ave. with Rev. Mike VanKampen officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (1-2PM). MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
