Jodi Ann VanderMeulen's Obituary
Jodi A. VanderMeulen (Vanderlaan) passed away on August 1st 2023 peacefully at Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 13, 1954 to John and Florence (Goodyke) Vanderlaan in Muskegon. Jodi was a graduate of West Michigan Christian High School and Baker College. Jodi raised her children with much love and was the main caregiver for her mother (Florence) for many years. Jodi worked tirelessly to support her children as a single mother, first as a physical therapist and over twenty years of service at the Howmet Corporation, from which she retired. Hobbies she enjoyed included hunting for treasures, family gatherings, building and furnishing miniature doll houses, furniture refinishing, and an avid lover of Hallmark movies. She loved her family passionately!
SURVIVORS: Include two children Joel (Jackie)VanderMeulen, Jami VanderMeulen, three siblings, Debra (Dennis) Kruttlin, Rick (Robin) Vanderlaan, Brian (Deborah) Vanderlaan, seven grandchildren, Dayton, Drew, Ella, Annabelle, Grant, Emmy, Isabelle, and her beloved dog Charlie.
A memorial visitation will be held for Jodi at Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444, on Friday August 4th from 1:00-3:00pm. Casual dress please. Memorials in Jodi’s name can be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
