Joe Golec's Obituary
Mr. Joe Golec, age 93, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 in Muskegon, Michigan. Joe was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 14, 1929 to Ignatius and Catherine (Sagon) Golec. On January 13, 1951, Joe married the former Angeline Taddeucci and they raised their family in Royal Oak. He worked as a carpenter for Barton-Malow for 40 years prior to retirement. After retirement, Joe and Angie moved to Manistee, Michigan. Joe was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his children, Debbie (John) Hucul and Randy (Rose) Golec; five grandchildren, Leah (Victor) Veprauskas, Katie (George) Thomas, Joshua (Rachel) Hucul, Joe E. Golec, and Jason Golec; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angeline, his parents, and six siblings. According to Joe’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
