Joe A. Robart's Obituary
Mr. Joe A. Robart, age 67, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2006. Mr. Robart was born February 8, 1938 to Marvin and Eleanor (Roe) Robart in Fremont. He lived in the area all of his life. He worked as an entrepreneur, but for a long time was owner of Smokin’ Joe’s Freshway in North Muskegon, prior to his retirement in 1998. SURVIVORS include his wife, Shirley and 8 children; Dan Robart of Muskegon, Julie Terwillergar of Florida, Shelley Robart of Florida, Suzanne (Chris) Lee of Hudsonville, Jennifer (Mike) Kahl of Rothbury, Rebecca (Brent) Saxton of Hesperia, Jodi (Matt) VanderKooi of New Era and Kevin Leverence of Twin Lake; 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; 4 brothers, John Robart, Robert (Joan) Robart, Randy (Mary) Robart, George (Violet) Robart and 1 sister, Betty Loomis. Joe was preceded in death by 1 grandchild and 1 brother-in-law Stew Loomis. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday. For a more lasting memorial please consider the American Cancer Society. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
