Mrs. Joe-Ann Forester's Obituary
Joe-Ann passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 23, 2013. She was 78 years old. Joe-Ann was born on October 14, 1934 to Charles and Sarah Bennett. She spent her entire life in the Muskegon area. Joe-Ann was blessed with 4 children and a wonderful marriage to Art Forester that began in 1984. Joe-Ann worked as an inspector for Kaydon for over 30 years before retiring in 1992. She was a loving, caring, generous person, with a sense of humor and a heart of gold. She enjoyed extended stays at their trailer in Benzonia, visits to the casino, and visiting garage sales. Number one to Joe-Ann was always her family. She will be deeply missed. SURVIVORS include her husband, Art Forester; daughter, Kim (Steve) Jesse; son-in-law, Keith Brott; 2 brothers, Martin (Pat) and Chuck Bennett; grandchildren, Scott, Sara (Chad) and Wyatt; step-children, Cindy (Jerry) Chapman, Scott (Elaine) Forester and Diane Forester; step grandchildren, Brandi (Keith), Britt (Danny), Brian (Kristi), Shane (Pat) and Josh; 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 of her children, Scott and Patrick Kelly, and Beth Brott; 2 brothers, Wayne and Gordon; granddaughter, Bree Chapman; and her parents. SERVICES will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday February 27th at The Walburn Chapel 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor John Brown officiating. A time of visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice.
