Johanna C. Furman's Obituary
Johanna C. Furman, age 85, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022. She was born January 12, 1937 in Muskegon to James and Catherine (Seery) Lawburgh. On September 13, 1962, she married Clifford “Bud” Furman, Jr. in Twin Lake, MI and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1982. Johanna enjoyed knitting mittens for kids, making afghans for family, reading, and doing word search puzzles. She loved taking care of her friends and family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Johanna had cold hands but the warmest heart. SURVIVORS include three children: Catherine Stepp, Nelan Furman, and Brenda Furman; two stepchildren: Monica Ann (Ed) Scott and Ray (Lori) Furman; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, John (Judy) Lawburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Animagi; and two stepchildren: Mary Jane and Patricia. SERVICES for Johanna will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210.
