Mr. John Charles Anderson Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. John Charles Anderson, Jr., age 73, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 24, 1939 in Muskegon to John Charles and Virginia Belle (Poort) Anderson, Sr. and was a life resident. On June 15, 1963, he married the former Carol Ann Welcome in Muskegon and she survives him. John was a 3rd generation plumber and worked over 50 years for Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #174 retiring in 1989. John worked in several places, but spent a good number of years at Bosch Mechanical and Northern Boiler. John especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family at the cabin in Ruby Creek where he did a lot of deer hunting. He was also a NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Anderson; 5 children, John E. (Shannon) Anderson, Julie (Burl) Curtis, Ron (Heather) Anderson, James Anderson, Ben Anderson; 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Blane, Courtney, Brittany, Zachary, Ashley, Morgan, Mason, Derrick, Olivia, Cole; and his first great-grandchild due in February; 2 brothers, Michael (Carol Lynn) Anderson, Steven Anderson; 1 sister, Kathy (Steve) Kahlo. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Robert Anderson. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2012 at Wolf Lake Baptist Church (1070 S. Wolf Lake Rd.) with Pastor Burt Wachter and Pastor Dan Smith as co-officiators. INTERMENT will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be held 5-8 PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Friday at the church.
