We age, we go different directions in life and we sometimes lose touch with those we love and respect. Our occasional contact at Joe Chan's and momentary conversations during those chance encounters always brought back so many memories from years past for Ruth and I. I was a member of the West Michigan Street Rod club when John was president, he did a great job as president and was a good influence on the club and the direction we wanted it to go, he was in charge of the yearly street rod show that we used to have at Mona Lake park, and he did a great job with that also, when he left the presidency he left some very big shoes to fill. I would see him from time to time at car shows and he would always say hi and take an interest in what I was doing as well as other club members. He was great at detailing parts for his projects, I am sorry to hear of his passing and sorry for your loss. Harry Skok
