John R. Bourdon's Obituary
Mr. John R. Bourdon, age 32, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Fruitport Township. He was born on October 5, 1984 to Patrick and Jill (Rahrig) Bourdon and was a lifelong resident of the West Michigan area. John was a 2003 graduate of St. Francis High School in Traverse City and excelled in football and track. He was an avid Culinary Chef in Chicago. He enjoyed everything Chicago, Notre Dame football, target shooting and spending time with family including Ford Lake. SURVIVORS include his father, Patrick and Linda Bourdon; and his mother, Jill Rahrig; brothers, Jacob (Corrie) Bourdon and Zach (Julie) Bourdon; and his sister, Aiyana (Matt) Newton. He is also survived by his grandfather, Thomas Bourdon, grandparents, Don and Wilma Rahrig, grandmother, Barbara Wiersema and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charline Bourdon; grandfather, Robert Wiersema; and his great-grandmother, Katherine Kiss. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Olivet Evangelical Free Church , 6790 Harvey St.with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. VISITATION will be held from 10-11 AM at church. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Muskegon. Arrangements are being handled by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100.
